The Quest Continues as I target Lake Whitefish in Lake Michigan. I made my way up to Green Bay to fish the bay of Green Bay in Lake Michigan. Like a moron, I picked a cold and snowy day to drive 125 miles up to Volk's Launch just north of Green Bay to fish for Lake Whitefish. This trip marked a couple of firsts, namely fishing in Green Bay, and also driving my car onto a lake. I've never driven a car on an iced over lake before. It was creepy! I'm not sure if I'll ever do it again. The ice was super thick, at about two feet, but that didn't do much to calm my nerves, especially when I had to drive over a large crack, a fissure that stretched as far as the eye could see. My car made it over the crack, but I was pretty well creeped out.I was fishing with a Swedish Pimple, which is a little silver spoon looking thing, and I tipped this ice fishing jig with a wax worm. I had two hook above the Swedish Pimple tipped with wax worms as well, but the fish I caught went after the spoon.Oh, and I caught a fish. I'm not telling you what species it was, though. Watch the video and see!
